The history of the company
A company for the production of hosiery and socks was established in Czech Republic in 1882 by Josef Heinrich Vatter in the town of Krásná Lípa.
1920 – after the First World War the company was led by Alfred and Heinz Vatter, the sons of the founder, who had established a branch in Budapest.
1946 – after the Second World War Fred Vatter (of the third generation of Vatters) established Vatter GmbH in Schongau, Germany.
1950 – Dr Otto Palme, a friend of Fred Vatter came into the company and together they established the Bellinda brand as a brand for hosiery and sock goods.
1982 – Mr Vatter obtains the company Schulte and Dieckhoff and the brands Nur Die and Opal were introduced in the mass markets.
1989 – the Elbeo company is accepted. Sara Lee Apparel Corporation Chicago is overtaking.
1992 – Tricotbest ČR, s.r.o. was developed in Czechoslovakia. After the division of the Czech and Slovak Republics in 1992, Tricotbest was also developed in Slovakia. By 1995 other branches had been developed in Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Russia.
1998 – a Distribution Centre was opened in Dolní Ředice where all goods are processed and prepared for transportation to other branches in Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Ukraine.
2002 – Tricotbest ČR, s.r.o. is renamed Sara Lee Apparel ČR, s.r.o.
2005 – Bellinda Česká republika, s.r.o. becames part of DBApparels
2015 – Bellinda Česká republika, s.r.o. becames part of Hanes Brands Inc.
2016 – Bellinda Česká republika, s.r.o. is renamed Hanes Czech Republic, s.r.o.; Bellinda stays as brand
2022 - Hanes Czech Republic, s.r.o. is renamed Bellinda Czech Republic s.r.o.
